Abertax Kemtronics is a leading provider of subcontracted electronics manufacturing services, and became part of the Abertax Group of Companies in 2012. It operates from a 1600 square metre factory centrally located at the Mosta Technopark in Malta.
We can manufacture manual and semi-automatic surface-mount and mixed technology electronic assemblies. We also manufacture cable assemblies and offer machining services for product enclosures. A variety of firms from all over Europe make use of our valuable services, expertise and dedication. Capabilities
We are capable of assembling SMT and THT electronics products from prototype runs to high volumes. The SMT section is equipped to produce at a maximum of 80,000 components per hour on 4 lines. An automatic visual inspection system is also available. Our technicians and engineers have the necessary equipment and experience to provide programming services as part of the manufacturing process, and also to set up functional testing procedures for the product at middle and final stages of assembly.
Transformer Assemblies
The transformers manufacturing section of the company designs and manufactures high quality, laminated and toroidal transformers to both metric and imperial standards. Our custom build transformers range from 0.7 to 2000 VA. Transformers are manufactured in diverse formats, namely PCB mounted, encapsulated or chassis mounted depending upon the client’s application requirements.
All our transformers are manufactured to CE standards and comply with all relevant EU norms. Major investment in machinery was made in recent years in order to enable us to provide reliable and competitive products. The company is now filly equipped with modern machinery including single and multi-spindle winding machines, manual and automatic test equipment, welding machines, automated potting equipment, dip varnishing and over curing.

Our development department has been set up to offer our clients a complete package, from concept to finished product. Over the years we have successfully designed system for a number of small, medium and large clients in industrial, consumer, scientific, medical and other niche markets, with our latest addition involving development for client’s portfolio of LED lighting products.
