Description
The Abertax® CLS is the entry level product for monitoring the electrolyte level in a battery, while allowing for flexible assembly with a selection of various designs.
The level probe is integrated in the LED housing, giving a steady green signal when electrolyte level is at or above the cell plates. When the electrolyte level drops below the cell plates, the sensor switches to flashing red.
Extensive research in electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering resulted in the CLS being designed to meet the harsh environments present in flooded batteries, with robust protection against voltage, current transients and reverse polarity connections. Furthermore, it is protected against electromagnetic interference.
Updates
Our new lead-free CLS comes with a carbon fibre probe that offers the same technical features as the lead probe model. Operators are no longer exposed to hazardous lead resulting in a safer, cleaner workplace, greatly simplifying the disposal of any trimmed parts of the probe. All of this while maintaining the same high standard you have come to expect from our CLS!

Standard CLS
The standard CLS is our basic version for monitoring the electrolyte level in a battery. The level probe is integrated in the LED housing, giving a steady green signal when electrolyte level is above the cell plates, and flashing red when the electrolyte level is below the cell plates.
CLS with External LED and Lens Cover
The CLS with External LED and Lens Cover is designed to allow monitoring the electrolyte level of the battery from the dashboard of a vehicle. The external LED housing has a lens cover which gives a steady green signal when electrolyte level is above the cell plates, and flashes RED when the electrolyte level is below the cell plates.
CLS with External LED for Mounting Between Supply Cables
The CLS with External LED for Mounting Between Supply Cables allows the monitoring of the battery electrolyte level when the battery must be taken out of the truck. The External LED is fitted in an external housing mounted with strapping brackets between the supply cables just underneath the main battery connector. This variant has the advantage that the indicator light is present directly next to the battery connector, ensuring that the electrolyte level is always checked at every charge.
CLS with Intercell Blade and External Probe
The CLS with Intercell Blade and External Probe is designed to be suitable for smaller sized batteries. The level probe is external to the main housing, and the CLS housing equipped with a fin can be installed between battery cells.

Description
The Abertax ® CLS Lite was developed to provide electrolyte level sensing in a trouble-free, effective and energy-efficient manner using patented technology.
Compared to the regular CLS, the CLS lite works with only one connector connected to a negative cell terminal to achieve an operating voltage between 8 and 18V. The sensor flashes green to indicate that the battery electrolyte is at a suitable level.
Despite the product’s simplicity, its robustness makes it ideal for the harsh electrical, mechanical and chemical environments that flooded batteries are subjected to.
