Abertax Quality Ltd, a leading Maltese company in battery technologies and innovation for over 25 years, is seeking a self-driven and proactive individual to join our team on full-time basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be involved as part of a team in the development of company products.
- Design of jigs, fixtures and machines for use in production using 3D CAD software.
- Drafting of CAD drawings for parts manufactured at our in-house toolshop.
- Updating Bills of Material for designed and manufactured automation equipment.
- Participate as part of a team to conduct product and machine FMEAs.
- Perform various tests on company products for verification purposes and compile technical test reports as required.
- Perform dimensional checks on company products and issue relevant reports.
- Updating company documentation in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Using of 3D printing for research & development purposes.
- Perform calibration of various equipment according to approved standards.
- Apply systematic and analytical methods of problem solving to support production and toolshop personnel for any product or process related problems.
Qualifications & Skills
The chosen candidate should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. The following skills will be considered an asset:
- A good technical & academic background.
- Hands-on approach.
- High motivation and capability of working on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- An innovative attitude, as well as the ability to keep abreast of emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD design.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to deal with both local and foreign suppliers and customers.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment such as injection moulding or automation design is preferable, but not necessary.
